If you have a March Networks IP camera that has the ability to write video to a SD Card or NAS, the correct path syntax for both CIFS and NFS when choosing to write to NAS is listed below as the documentation on this is not particularly great.
CIFS
\\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx\share
You'll also need the username and password for the authorised user.
NFS
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:/volume/share (the colon after the IP is the trick!). Note also there is no forward slash at the beginning for NFS.
When you set up recording in the 'motion' page, the camera will create a new default folder called 'VideoStorage' on your chosen share. Video written to the SD Card or NAS can be played back using Internet Explorer or Firefox with the IE Tab 2 Add-on installed.
My test camera was a March Networks MegaPX 720P running firmware version 1.9.5 connecting to a Synology NAS running firmware 4.3.3776 configured for NFS access using this blog post from Rob van Hamersveld.
