You might want to download a 1 minute section of video during the day and do the same for a period of recorded video from the wee small hours. Compare the two file sizes. You may be very surprised.
In the example below, the night-time video recording (2nd clip) from the same camera is 3x larger! This may be where all your storage is disappearing?

To correct this, either ensure nightime recordings are kept to a minimum by adjusting motion detection zones or recording schedules or add more light to the scene to improve the picture by reducing the amount of noise in the image.
